Registration

Our friendly patient service associates will assist you in your registration process. Please bring along your NRIC, work permit, employment pass or passport when you visit us. Rest assured that your medical records will be kept confidential in DSC.

Nursing Consultation

Both male and female registered nurses are on hand to meet the modesty needs of our patients. To minimize waiting time, male patients will be screened by our male nurses before doctor’s consultation. Female patients, on the other hand, require more complex procedure of obtaining test samples, hence, will consult a doctor first.

You will certainly feel at ease under the care of gentle and experienced nursing hands. Besides test sample collection and administration of routine procedures, our nurses will discuss with you the treatment options and laboratory test charges before proceeding with them. The confidence inspired by qualified nursing care cannot be understated.

If you are a male patient who is experiencing urethral discharge or discomfort, you are advised to hold your urine for 4 hours before your appointment timeslot. This is to ensure that your test sample collected yields an accurate result.

Medical Consultation

DSC Clinic is staffed by a team of experienced specialist doctors, visiting consultants and medical officers. Besides completing their formal training, our doctors have also had years of hands-on practice in diagnosing, treating, managing and preventing sexually transmitted infections (commonly known as STDs). We strive to provide you with the highest professional medical care throughout your visit at our clinic.

In the consultation room, our doctor will interview you for your sexual and medical history. A physical examination will be conducted if necessary. You are encouraged to discuss your condition and concerns with our doctor. All information provided will be keyed into our computerized system and kept with strictest confidentiality. If the need arises, further diagnostic tests will be ordered accordingly, to present you with an accurate report of your state of health. These results will usually be ready within 2 – 3 weeks from the date of test.

A Good Piece of Advice

Unique to the DSC Clinic, our health advisors are staff specially trained to explain your condition, treatment and follow-up management details to you. You will be assigned to meet a health advisor in the privacy of a comfortable room, where your sexual relationships will be explored so that any partner/s at risk of infections may be contacted for a health check.

Counseling

Having an infection of a sexually transmitted nature can be very distressing for some people. Support in the form of counseling by our in-house counselor is at hand to comfort and steady distraught patients, who may need an empathetic listening ear, cathartic release of emotions or help with their social and sexual relationships.

Besides emotional and psychological well-being, patients who have difficulties settling their clinic bills will also be referred to the counselor for financial assessment and assistance.

In-house laboratory Service

DSC Clinic boasts an in-house laboratory fully equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory machines. We take pride in running most of our STD/STI tests in-house. This helps to shorten laboratory result waiting time for patients as well as maintain the cost of tests at an affordable rate for patients. Our specially trained laboratory technicians process laboratory tests with precision and accuracy. Our commitment to meet stringent lab testing requirements has paved the way to our attainment to ISO 15189 Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme in 2006.

A Dose of Good Health

Your final stop will be at our clinic’s pharmacy. Being a subsidized clinic, medicine supplies are available at an affordable rate. Our pharmacy technician dispenses medicine as well as application and dosage instructions, to ensure you are equipped to continue self-care at home and achieve quick recovery.
